Working
as an employee for any organisation can cause periods of stress
and uncertainty. Many individuals view their personal lives
as separate from the workplace. Many individuals use drugs
and/or alcohol recreationally without difficulty. However,
the damaging effects to the body can go undetected for many
years. Other people may turn to drugs or alcohol for short
periods of time to overcome distressing episodes in their
life, but recover and return to normality and work as efficiently
as before. During difficult times most individuals are not
aware of how their substance misuse can be affecting others
around them or how their company can be a source of support.
