Darren
Jones
(Dip Managing Addictions, Certificate in Education)
Before
becoming a full time trainer Darren worked in both community
and Prison settings, including street homeless drop in centre's,
supported housing (prolific offender project) structured day
programme using the International Treatment Effectiveness
Programme (ITEP), CARAT teams, and became Senior Practitioner
responsible for developing Integrated Drug Treatment System
(IDTS) within a female prison estate.

He is
a qualified Teacher and has worked at Stoke-on-Trent College
as a lecturer in Addiction Studies, and an NOCN trainer
for a North West Service provider. He trains for Central
Care, Look Ahead Housing, One Housing Group, West Midlands
Probation Service, Manchester NHS, South Staffordshire Council
and various Housing Associations, he also offers consultancy
to a large Alcohol Charity developing training packages
and has recently launched staff Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) portfolios, he also works for corporate
organisations in developing Drug and Alcohol Policies and
training in recognising drug abuse in the workplace.
Darren
is qualified in the Management of Addictions and the use
of Complementary Therapies in Addictions including Indian
Head Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy and has researched
at The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of GB in London and
studied a variety of innovative projects in Amsterdam.

Nicola
Jones (BSc, MSc Forensic Psychology)
Nicola
has a broad knowledge base in the field of Psychology and
Criminality, focusing her career on applying the principles
of CBT and REBT to motivate individuals who are serving long
term prison sentences.
Nicola
has provided training on a National level to professionals
within the Prison & Probation Service, and more recently
has experience of developing and delivering training packages
to a variety of staff, then managing and monitoring subsequent
delivery and effectiveness.

| Nicola
is currently the Youth Liaison Officer for the charity Re-Solv.
Her role includes educating young people about the dangers of
solvents and volatile substance abuse and providing training
to professionals on the prevention, recognition and treatment
aspects of this abuse. |

| Carly
Spicer (BSc, MSc Applied Forensic Psychology).
Carly
has over 10 years experience in psychological settings and
has been a member of the British Psychological Society since
1998 and more recently the Chartered Management Institute.
After
graduating in 2000 Carly worked as an Assistant Psychologist
supporting adults with mental health problems, challenging
behaviour and offending histories.

From 2003
Carly worked in Her Majesty's Prison Service (NOMS) as a Forensic
Psychologist in Training. For the last 2 years she has worked
as a Team Leader in the substance misuse field in the West
Midlands, co-ordinating the delivery of alcohol interventions
and general practice based treatment of heroin addiction.
Carly
has delivered a range of training in the last 10 years including
defensible professional practice, risk assessment, group work/one
to one skills (CBT, MI), multi-disciplinary team working and
offending behaviour programmes. Research interests include
gender discrimination, young offender's understanding of the
Criminal Justice System/Human Rights and dual diagnosis.
From October
2010 Carly will be employed by the NHS as a Trainee Clinical
Psychologist whilst studying a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
at the University of Birmingham.
